出手為勾, 回手為掛, 摟是出手回手, 采是隨手而入, 黏是邦, 即滾擘也, 粘是拿, 貼是揮擘劈也, 靠是大靠打, 刁是反手螳螂勾, 進是拳步乘勢而上, 吊是提高敵手而進攻, 打是成一括名詞, 如崩, 貫, 直, 靠, 漏, 劈, 撑等, 都應名為打, 是向敵攻擊的意思。

Extending a Hand is Hooking, Returning a Hand is Hanging, Dragging is Extending a Hand & Returning a Hand, Plucking is Following the Hand & Entering. Adhering is Assisting, that is Rolling & Breaking, Sticking is Grabbing, Attaching is Waving, Tearing, & Chopping, Leaning is the Big Leaning Strike. Diao is the Reverse Hand of the Praying Mantis Hook, Advancing is the Fists & the Steps seize the opportunity & move forward, Suspending is raising the enemy’s hands & attacking. With Striking success is contained in single words, such as Beng, Threading, Straight, Leaning, Leaking, Chopping, & Propping, all are known as Striking, it is the idea of attacking the enemy.


•勾 Gou/Hook – 出手為勾/Extending a Hand is Hooking

•摟 Lou/Drag – 摟是出手回手/Dragging is Extending a Hand & Returning a Hand

•采 Cai/Pluck – 采是隨手而入/Plucking is Following the Hand & Entering

•挂 Gua/Hang – 回手為挂/Returning a Hand is Hanging

•粘 Zhan/Stick – 粘是拿/Sticking is Grabbing (拿 Na/Grab)

•黏 Nian/Adhere – 黏是邦,即滾擘也/Adhering is Assisting, that is Rolling & Tearing

•貼 Tie/Attach – 貼是揮擘劈也/Attaching is Waving, Tearing, & Chopping

•靠 Kao/Lean – 靠是大靠打/Leaning is the Big Leaning Strike

•刁 Diao/Hook Wrist Strike – 刁是反手螳螂勾/Diao is the Reverse Hand of the Praying Mantis Hook

•進 Jin/Advance – 進是拳步乘勢而上/Advancing is the Fists & the Steps seize the opportunity & move forward

•吊 Diao/Suspend – 吊是提高敵手而進攻/Suspending is raising the enemy’s hands & attacking

    1. Yes, you are 100% correct. I have intended to add more photo/video material for almost two years now. Unfortunately, a somewhat serious health problem has prevented me from moving forward. But that’s all about to change. My health is finally back on track, so YouTube, photo illustration in articles & essays, & a podcast are all coming in the near future.

    1. Many platforms, such as WordPress, will do the coding for you. Pre-made stuff just requires you to “plug in” your content. Simple & easy. But coding is a useful skill. I’d recommend you use a site that’ll do the hard part for you while you learn coding. Good luck!
