In the Wudang Sword Method, the most important set is the Thirteen Patterns. They’re named according to Thirteen Characters, namely It’s just like Taijiquan’s 掤/Peng, 捋/Lu, 擠/Ji, 按/An, 采/Cai, /挒Lie, 肘/Zhou, 靠/Kao; 前進/Forward Advance, 後退/Backward Retreat, 左顧/Look Left, 右盼/Expect Right, & 中定/Central Stability. In addition, there’s Sword Dancing, which has no fixed patterns. You shouldn’t try to learn it until your Sword Art is pure & subtle. It is impossible to comprehend without receiving Oral Instruction.

It’s hard to come by knowledgeable people on this topic, but you
seem like you know what you’re talking about! Thanks

Aw, this was a really nice post. Finding the time and actual effort to generate a good article… but
what can I say… I procrastinate a whole lot and never seem to get anything
done.
