八卦棍法簡介/Bagua Gun Fa Jianjie – Bagua Staff Method Summary

八卦棍是八卦門的長器械之一，一般棍長五尺左右，要求長棍短用，直棍曲用，以棍帶身。時而棍掃一片，時而鎖、扣、刁、纏、善於變化，以變應變，打中有走，走中有擊，陰陽互變。主要棍法有點、崩、壓、掃、砸、劈、推、纏、扎、挑、撩、架。八卦棍中没有一個舞花。但勇猛、快速、剛勁、有力。這套棍法具有較強的實用價值，棍點很多。

Bagua Staff is one of the Bagua School’s long weapons. Commonly, the Staff is approximately five feet long. It’s requirements are: “Long Staff & Short Use”, “Straight Staff & Bent Use”, & “Use the Staff to Lead the Body”. Sometimes the Staff Sweeps to one side, sometimes it Locks, Binds, Hooks, or Coils. It’s good at Variation, using change to adapt to change, it hits targets while Walking, Walking contains Striking, like Yin & Yang Mutually Transforming. The Primary Staff Methods are 點/Dian, 崩/Beng, 壓/Ya, 掃/Sao, 砸/Za, 劈/Pi, 推/Tui, 纏/Chan, 扎/Zha, 挑/Tiao, 撩/Liao , & 架/Jia. Bagua Staff doesn’t have one single way of wielding it. However, it is bold, fast, vigorous, & powerful. These Methods have comparatively strong practical value, but the Staff hints at much more.
