兩手互捧如抱嬰,含胸拔背似捆繩。

抽身長手千斤墜,宛若猿猴摘果形。

The two hands mutually hold as if carrying a baby, contain the chest & draw up the back to resemble a bundle of rope. Withdraw the Body, Extend the Hands, then the 1000 Jin Drops, the shape is just like apes & monkeys picking fruit.

由靜而動周身運,氣導血隨龍虎奔。

腰乃坐纛心為令,扣膝坐步不八丁。

Stillness leads to Motion & the whole body moves, the Qi leads & the Blood follows like a dragon & tiger rushing. The waist then is the seat of the banner & the Xin is the Commander, hook the knees & sit, the stance is not quite “Ba,” or “Ding.”

定勢半魚步七星,氣沉丹田神貫頂。

兩臀下垂提谷道,二目注視虎口中。

In Fixed Pattern Half Fish Walking the Seven Stars, the Qi sinks to the Dantian & the Spirit passes through the crown. The buttocks hang, lift the Grain Path, the eyes look through the Tiger’s Mouth.

心虛腹實舌上卷,叩齒呼吸換液津。

沉肩墜肘向内合,前手食指與眉平。

Empty the Xin, solidify the belly, the tongue curls upward, close the teeth & breathe to change the saliva fluid. Sink the shoulders, drop the elbows & close them inward, the lead hand’s index finger is even with the eyebrow.
