師傅領進門,修行在個人。
The teacher leads you to enter the door, but cultivating behavior depends on oneself.
不怕千招會,就怕一招熟。
Do not fear one who has collected a thousand maneuvers, only fear one with a single matured maneuver.
一巧破千斤,一力降十會。
One maneuver used skillfully can defeat a thousand jin, one force can subdue a group of ten.
要想人前顯貴,必得背後受累。
If you want to be a big shot in front of people, you have to be put to a lot of trouble behind your back.

Uncle Sickness
Hello, I'm your Uncle Sickness. My study of martial arts & Daoist philosophy began in college & has carried through the rest of my life. In that time, I've learned Ba Fan Shou, Tan Tui (10 & 12 Road versions), Taijiquan, Tanglangquan, Baguazhang, & my personal favorite, Xingyiquan. In addition, I've studied a number of popular Qigong styles & meditation techniques.
