八卦掌身之八打歌訣/Baguazhang Shen Zhi Ba Da Ge Jue – Baguazhang Body’s Eight Strikes Song Secret

頭/Head:

頭打之法進中央,靠山探穴兩肋旁。

乳上乳下斜身取,此頭乃是掌中王。

The Head Strike’s Method enter the center, lean on the mountain to explore the cavities on both sides of the ribs. Take above the breast & below the breast with Inclined Body, then the head is the Palm’s ruler. 

肩/Shoulders:

肩打一陰反一陽,大臂引手先去襠。

手換肩下要靠准,頭來肩打命必亡。

The shoulders strike one Yin & reverse one Yang, the upper arm leads the hand toward the crotch first. The hand’s changing & the shoulder’s arriving must lean accordingly, if the head comes the shoulder strike will end his life. 

手/Hands:

抓打擒拿雙手用,腳手齊到方為真。

拳似炮形龍折身,手似劈山向前掄。

Grabbing, Striking, Seizing, & Controlling are applied by both hands, the feet & hands simultaneously arriving is called real. The fist is like a cannon while the body bends like a dragon, the hands swing toward the front resembles chopping a mountain. 

肘/Elbows:

肘打三節不見形,直撞斜打用皆准。

虎豹頭法意在肘,穿林交叉頂後心。

The elbows strike the Three Sections without the form being seen, in all cases apply Straight Bumping or Inclined Striking accordingly. In the Tiger Leopard Head Method the intent is in the elbow, Penetrating the Forest thrusts against the heart while crossing. 

胯/Kua:

胯打中節肩相連,陰陽相合力摧山。

外胯去時里胯走,回身如鷹變式還。

The kua strikes the Muddle Section with the shoulder mutually linked, when Yin & Yang mutually cooperate they can destroy a mountain. When the outer kua removes itself is when the inner kua goes forward, Returning Body is like an eagle changing forms to return. 

膝/Knees:

膝打幾處人不明,若用膝頂命必傾。

斜打膝兮加肋力,形似猛虎出了籠。

No one knows how many places the knees may strike, his life will end if you use the Knee Thrust. Powerfully apply the Inclined Striking Knee to the ribs, like a Fierce Tiger Exiting its Cage. 

足/Feet:

腳打去意刮地風,消息全凴后腳蹬。

踩住敵人腳下落,功夫不到全是空。

When the Foot Strike goes its Intent is like a Wind Scraping the Ground, the Rear Foot Tread serves notice. When falling downward Stamping stops the enemy’s foot, it’s useless with insufficiently complete Gongfu. 

腿/Legs:

腿法原有七二變,扣擺之中把敵算。

The Leg Method originally had Seventy-two Variations, contain the enemy’s plans in the midst of Hooking & Swinging. Lower Sweeping & Upper Striking both have their hidden meaning, the Hand Methods precede touching the Mind or the Intent.
